With the storms back east, we here in Sedona are enjoying cool mornings and bright sunny days, reaching 60 degrees this week. Guests this morning were wowed again by our Sedona views from the Inn, and being from the Midwest were glad to be out of the snow and looking forward to their hike to Cathedral Rock…taking the path we recommend to include the walk along Oak Creek. We are two and a half hours from the Grand Canyon; our day tripping guests are reporting less crowds and are able to self drive the road parallel with the south rim with all the overlooks. Another great surprise for our guests is the former V Bar V Heritage Site, only 20 minutes from Adobe Hacienda. This is the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley, as well as being one of the best-preserved. Acquired by the Coconino National Forest in 1994, the site is protected and kept open to the visiting public for their enjoyment and opportunity to learn more about our national cultural heritage.
