A newcomer.

August 24, 2011

We have finally completed what was a garage/storage room into a beautiful hideway, one both Brad and I would like to move into. The (La Casita) first of all has unobstructed views of the golf course and red rocks of Sedona. A king bed of course, and to keep the guys happy a large flat screen TV/DVD player that swings out affording you viewing from the bed (as if you would prefer that over the red rock views that you can also see from the bed).

Theflagstone  patio has an enclosed wall around the Casita with copper colored fountain and a ever changing garden, you can sit in total privacy and enjoy the views from your privte patio watching the sunset o rsoak in a double jacuzzi  or jion the other guests at the outdoor fireplace steps from your Casita. Breakfast can also be served on your private patio…just think of it pampered, breakfast served on the patio in your robes. Rates $259/$299.

Sedona Film Festival

February 20, 2010

This is the week of the Sedona Film Festival while one might ask why Sedona, perhaps we have forgotten that lots of past movies were shot in Sedona old favorite westerns including Elvis Presley’s version of  playing a cowboy. Here as one of   Sedona bed and breakfast’s we pride ourselves for being on the grounds of the movie called Rounders of course now it is home to a fine golf course our neighbor.

This week we will turn our star gazing into a human kind while looking for the sightings of movie stars such as Edd Byrnes, Tim Daly, Doris Roberts and a few more who will come in low key. Michael Moore is being honored I really thought his movie Sicko was so right.

Early January blog

January 10, 2010

With the storms back east, we here in Sedona are enjoying cool mornings and bright sunny days, reaching 60 degrees this week.  Guests this morning were wowed again by our Sedona views from the Inn, and being from the Midwest were glad to be out of the snow and looking forward to their hike to Cathedral Rock…taking the path we recommend to include the walk along Oak Creek. We are two and a half hours from the Grand Canyon;  our day tripping guests are reporting less crowds and are able to self drive the road parallel with the south rim with all the overlooks.  Another great surprise for our guests is the former V Bar V Heritage Site, only 20 minutes from Adobe Hacienda.   This is the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley, as well as being one of the best-preserved. Acquired by the Coconino National Forest in 1994, the site is protected and kept open to the visiting public for their enjoyment and opportunity to learn more about our national cultural heritage.

Happy New Year!
